And it was also revealed that since 2021, these businesses have been operating independently under their respective CEOs. The reason behind this demerger stated ” while there are limited synergies between Commercial Vehicles (CV) and Passenger Vehicles (PV) businesses, there are considerable synergies to be harnessed across PV, EV and JLR particularly in the areas of EVs, autonomous vehicles, and vehicle software which the demerger will help secure “.
All the necessary legal processes will be done in coming months and the process of demerger can take up to 12 to 15 months. The company has assured that the demerger will have no adverse impact on its customers, employees and it’s business partners.
